The Official TASM Weekly Thread (6 Day EST-140m) (Warning: Whiten Out Spoilers/Spoiler Tags)

Recommended Posts

Jokes at the expense of Jack aside, what kind of realistic path is this headed in now for the 6-day? $120M-ish?

I think it can hit 130M+ for 6 days, if it doesn't collapse and have drop in the high 30's to low 40's for today

Fans who believe TASM is doing better than it looks are just deluding themselves.Remeber "rival studios" reported 32M OD, and RTH basically confirmed 35M. For Wednesday RTH first said 23-24M, then lowered it by 1M. RTH gets his numbers from Rentrak.Sony didn't need to fudge numbers to get Tuesday record, any gross north of 28M would have been enough.

OK yes, if they pull another Puerto Rico on us then another meltdown will happen for sure.

This is bound to happen. Sony wants to pass TF number.

It's not hitting $155m without some awesome holds the rest of the way.

We might see a correction with the market on Thursday since MM completely collapsed, Ted decreased, Brave & Mad 3 barely increased unlike 2007. Only TA, MK, PLU had massive increases on Wednesday so we might not see 30%+ drops and instead see 25%.

Why an 18% drop today though Hasan?

Front loadedness will continue till end of weekend, july 4th being over people getting ready for weekend including thursday where a number people might take a day or half off to make it a long weekend

18% is too low. Minimum is 25%, max is perhaps 40%.
