WrathOfHan
OW: 60M Weekend 2: 35M with 10M from weekdays (105) Weekend 3: 20M with 6M from weekdays (131) Weekend 4 (Thanksgiving): 16M with 8M from weekdays (155) Weekend 5: 6M with 2M from weekdays (163) This is providing WOM is good; if it's really good second and third week drops could be even lower and it could reach 200M. Big Hero 6 had the advantage of Penguins disappointing so TGD will hurt it's late legs.
The Panda
We have essentially returned to the three-rating system that existed between X becoming taboo in Hollywood in the early 70s, and the introduction of PG-13 in 1984. Except it's PG/PG-13/R instead of G/PG/R. Further reason why I foresee the introduction of a new rating between PG and PG-13 at some point... They should just give each movie a base age similar to common sense. Have a Green for safe for anyone this age and up. A yellow for caution anyone this age and below. And a red for nobody under this age can see it without parental guidance. Ie. Something like Django would be 17 Green, 16 Yellow, 15 Red Something like Peanuts would be All ages green Something like Shrek would be 8 Green, 7 Yellow

Kvikk Lunsj
I am so happy I found a friend in grad school who loves the peanuts. I found someone to go with me.
Harpospoke
Watching Arrested Development on Netflix and the running Peanuts gag cracks me up. I know it was a decade ago, but Peanuts was embedded in pop culture enough that a joke like that works without explanation.

Ezen Baklattan
Doubt it will do super well there. Most low key, character driven films don't do super well in China as opposed to more big, action, visually based films.
Mojoguy
Peanuts movie is going to disappoint. 25m OW. Current kids don't care about Snoopy or Charlie Brown. Peanuts fanbase is mostly adults. Also all the attention that weekend will be taken by SPECTRE. I guess this means good news for Hotel Transylvania 2, which needs every cent it can get. Jayhawk the Hutt
I'll go with 42m OW/140m DOM. That is good enough. We are getting a lot of kid/family movies (especially animated) near the end of the year, after being spaced out quite well earlier this year. There will be too much competition for this to breakout I think.
Mojoguy
HT2 is going to drop after Halloween. Of course. October is where it makes nearly all of its money. But HT1 was hit hard by WIR, Peanuts seems like much weaker competition and can make half of WIR.
Kvikk Lunsj
Why do people say that peanuts are not big with today's children?
MrFanaticGuy34
Why do people say that peanuts are not big with today's children? Exactly. Peanuts has more of a four-quadrant appeal, and there's no way it bombs like that.
Jayhawk the Hutt
Why do people say that peanuts are not big with today's children? Well I think they are, but they are kept relevant with classic holiday specials, not necessarily anything new. I would love for this movie to surprise me (both BO-wise and the movie itself) because the Peanuts were a big part of my childhood, but there are a lot of things working against it.
