AniNate
Reviews will impact its Oscar chances but not so much the box office I feel... Well, if WOM isn't great it's toast come Thanksgiving

I was excited for this... but I just got a commercial that ended with Charlie Brown saying "Is there an emoji for Good Grief?" NOOOOO I hope this was an ADR line for a TV spot and not an actual line in the film.
grim22
Peanuts shows up on Critics Choice: http://www.criticschoice.com/search?s=peanuts Current rating 80/100 and 3 stars, translates to around 70-75% on RT (but Critics Choice is more OS leaning as opposed to US critics and this is a pretty US centric franchise)

kayumanggi
I don't like the look of this. I also think it won't do well.

It should at least do $30-35 million OW due to Goosebumps/HT2 winding down, Pan bombing, and everything else minus Spectre being sub-$10 million. HT2 benefited similarly its OW. Peanuts should do fine.

FlashMaster659
On IMDb, it has risen from 7.2 to 8.3/10 in the past 2 days. EDIT: Scores above 8/10 on IMDb have usually resulted in RT scores from the 80s to the 90s. (Even though these are coming from audiences and not critics) Edited November 1, 2015 by FlashMaster659
AniNate
Imdb and RT user ratings aren't particularly useful early on
narniadis
As has been stated the dead children's market will help this immensely. However, I am thinking something like Chicken Little or MegaMind / Puss In Boots for numbers.

What it will benefit from is that kids movies are Halloween based and will drop sharply next weekend.

Unlike Inside Out vs. Minions, I think TGD all-around has the upper hand in appealling to families. Peanuts will do gangbusters OS no matter what, though. I'm also not positive about it doing well overseas. This is probably just me being not familiar with it since i'm not from America.
Blankments
Twitter reactions from critics: Andrew Parker@AndrewJParker THE PEANUTS MOVIE: Right up there with Paddington for the most delightful thing I've seen all year. Daniel Howat @howatdk 17m17 minutes ago THE PEANUTS MOVIE is good! More for kids than adults, but pretty cute. The animation is absolutely fantastic. It does Charlie Brown justice! Mark Walters @markwalters74 45m45 minutes ago Been told I can't post my @PeanutsMovie review until Thursday, so I can't say how wonderfully fun, charming and satisfying it is until then. Rob Trench @robtrench 42m42 minutes ago THE PEANUTS MOVIE: Utilizes the best of Charles Schulz's legacy while also appealing for a younger generation. One of the year's best films. Debbie @debsterbread 40m40 minutes ago #PeanutsMovie is so cute and nostalgic. great for people of all ages! TODD!!!!!!! @tsokolove 35m35 minutes ago I highly recommend THE PEANUTS MOVIE. It's, like, LEGO movie good.
