A blockbuster can have the initial boost of the hype and a big opening to take advantage but to have good legs it depends more on multiple views. But if a drama/comedy connects with people... sky is the limit.

Tuesday will beat AEG Saturday for 3rd biggest non-opening day after DC3 Sat and Sun. So Tuesday > $109M but < $115M ?

Actually if you are considering worldwide, the first Monday record was broken by The Mermaid in Feb 2016 itself. Furious 7 had $30M Monday in April 2015. In USA Black Panther broke the record, no? Gavin Feng
Hi, Mom & Chinatown 3 already prove we're in the era of $1 billion lifetime in a single market no matter if they hit it or not. Lots of local blockbusters are aiming to come in summer and National Day holidays. We have great chance to see more and more crazy box office run. But right now, I highly doubt upcoming Hollywood films could benefit much from it. Recent numbers might make those executives in town feel thrilled, but local industry -- including those from Chinese office of Hollywood -- don't really think audience here are so eager to see their contents in cinemas.
charlie Jatinder
I mean yeah. The ticket prices have started to increase. At WW2 admits we will have 7.75-7.9B grosser today. That's $1200M plus today, with improving exchange rates, that may get even bigger. So $1B is pretty low target IMO. We should be talking about $1.25B+.

Cookson
Some good news for Hollywood films if there was one. Have a feeling Godzilla vs Kong will do very well. Still surprised no confirmation of its release date there.
