No official source for CW (but you can quote this guy from CFGC if you like) yet. But like Jungle Book, it probably will be officially annouced one month later ...

 

All imported films in China are scheduled by CFGC (and CFGC listens to the Film Buearu of course...). Hollywood studios have no control in this part; in fact, they are always the latest to know the release dates of their own movies. In the case of CW, even if Disney China is already informed of the May 6 release date, they will not annouce it at the moment.

You know, the Chinese market is so unpredictable. Wouldn't it really be something if Zootopia made more money in China than it did in North America?

Is it just me.....or is there a Hollywood movie that has been released in US for nearly over a year ago....that gets a chinese theatrical release in this time year?

I think it's more like 1B yuan in China. $1B WW looks a bit too high as of the moment, altho it's posting high numbers and amazing holds on plenty of countries.
