ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS | 5/27/16 | If anyone cares, there is an RT watch in this thread apparently.

Recommended Posts

I don't think I see a big budget movie that got middle ground/decent RT score this year yet? It's either downright rotten or highly fresh rated. X-Men Apocalypse might be the first if it can get to the 60s range.

I didn't expect anything from this sequel.Though I did like the look of its trailers better than the original.

Never mentioned big fish :(

Big Fish belongs somewhere between pretty great and passable. I really dislike Crudup in that one. But, everything else is pretty great. Awesome ending. Powerful. I also left out Apes. That belongs in the awful category.

But, essentially as always with Burton, he's only as good the script. He's awful at discerning what works and what doesn't. I think Jane Goldman's an outstanding writer so it wouldn't surprise me at all if his next flick is actually pretty damn good and a return to form.

Just now, movieboner said:

The conspiracy of Disney paying off critics is probably untrue now, since this film is made by Disney and is receiving terrible reviews.

No, Disney just threw this one in as a fake plant and deliberately made it bad/didn't pay the critics so people would get off their scent. GENIUS MOVE.

It really doesn't look that bad. What I'm saying is that I'll catch it on Netflix someday.

I agree, It definitely doesn't look that bad. In fact, I think it looks better then the Alice in Wonderland movie from 2010.

It would be interesting to see whether the movie would be a comeback for Johnny Depp. He's had quite a number of bombs past several years... Lone Ranger, Dark Shadows, Transcendence, Mortdecai.

I thought Alice 2 was directed by Tim Burton....

Looked at the director James Bobin's work.

Some Ali G stuff...

Muppets movies

And the upcoming MIB and 21 Jump Street crossover movie
