Jack Nevada
Malcolm X actually went through a transformation in his life. It was shown in the movie. Yeah, but for the majority of his life he basically advocated black supermacy
ecstasy
Yeah, but for the majority of his life he basically advocated black supermacy Black supremacy? Sorry but do you have any idea of the history of the US? Do you realize the magnitude of racial discrimination during this man's time. You have to look at it in context and don't judge so harshly. That's all I will say.

I know the horrific situation of the african americans at the time, it was truly monstrous. But Malcolm X still spoke of white people as the 'white devil', preached about how black people had glorious high culture while the white men slithered in caves, and in general when he was in Nation of Islam he said some rather hateful stuff. I understand how the people who were in Nation of Islam must have felt back in the day, their condition being so bad, but what that church and Malcom X preached I cant agree withThere are also many other things I dont agree with him, like how he said that if you're black and not a muslim you have been 'brainwashed by the white man' and other things. He was a insanely brave man, but I dont agree with him.
Cmasterclay
Malcolm X certainly was a flawed person with some misguided ideals, but his motto of "by any means necessary" and his bravery in adhering to this idea despite the constant hate and threat around him inspired a generation of African Americans to fight for their rights and positive social changes. You can't look at him through a black and white lens. Edited January 13, 2013 by Cmasterclay

But all I'm saying is that he did abandon a lot of that hatred later in his life.
fishstick
Any of the twilight movies. Disgusting morals to teach the teenage girls!Without a man you are nothing...NOTHING!That`s what Shriekapoo book was teaching way before Twilight. fishstick
IMO, most insulting movie to society is The Serbian Movie. It`s a quasy snuff porn + torture porn but the fact that they named it after entire nation, as if it represents the said nation or its cinema, is beyond insulting. Also, that Angelina Jolie anti-Serbian movie. The Crusader`s from Serbia so I`m very sensitive to one-sided bashing of his countrymen.

lilmac
Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. The most stereo-typically racist piece of shit film to be made.Ditto on Transformers, specifically Skids and Mudflaps.
Ezen Baklattan
Ditto on Transformers, specifically Skids and Mudflaps.This. If you're going for humor like that, the least you could do is actually make it, you know, funny.
DAR
Just when you thought that movie couldn't be any worse, it features a GODDAMN. RAPPING. DOG. It's like somebody thought the Simpsons were serious when it did the Poochie episode

A flawed man that thrived through racial trouble, making ambiguous and violent choices in the name of his people because of the historical settings, facing the institutionalized oppression he had to suffer because of his skin color. How can you say that movie is an insult to society? It was simply depicting the life of the man called Malcolm X, not a tract for Nation Of Islam. So by your logic, The Downfall is an insult to society just because it depicts parts of the life of one of the most despicable man in modern history? You're confusing the author's POV with real or fictional movie character's beliefs. Edited January 14, 2013 by dashrendar44
