Jodie Foster's speech went on far too long while other celebrities would've been pulled while making a speech that long, not to mention her jokes fell flat and you could hear crickets out in the audience..

I thought she did when she said she was gonna stop making films and start a family with her female partner. I think she even said it in her speech tonight that she came out many moons ago. But I could be wrong.

because the bleeped part explained everything. It`s something about coming out although eevryone knew she was out.

Not that shocking since the rumors have been there for a number of years, but I did like how she slagged the need for the media/etc to have to force people to publicly coming out via news stories rather than let them live normal lives that for all intents and purposes are "out" to those who matter.

Give Jodie Foster a break, she's a legend. And her speech was more genuine and less rehearsed than any other speech- I respect that.

I actually like Wreck-It Ralph better than Brave but I really don't think Brave was bad. I'll be happy with any film winning the Oscar except Pirates! which I haven't seen yet

Pirates! was amusing, but doesn't deserve to win. Rise was pretty good, but WIR was on a level of its own. Best animated film since TS3, and the best movie of last year. Brave was mediocre crap that made me realize that DreamWorks and Disney have reached up, and passed them, in quality.
