I think Perks is a beautiful movie, but I dont love it as much as some people here.

I'm not sure why Noctis picked these two movies. I mean the other is about mental illness and romance, and the other one is a coming of age movie. I dont think they're that similar outside their bittersweet elements

Charlie in Perks is clearly mentally ill (PTSD, depression, etc) and like in SLP it glosses over his mental troubles with an incredibly brief slide through it near the end.

 

 

Anyways, SLP is better.

Perks is a solid 4/5 for me, and SLP is a 3/5 at this point.

Found them both good but nothing speical.

 

Perks is more relateable so I picked that as its a story about young people.

 

Silver Linings was good and then turned into who can be more crazy nut show in the end lol
