wileECoyote
I am not saying the audience didn't care for it. I'm saying there wasn't a whole lot of access to the ST09 film.Oh I must've misread what you were saying. True, but now at least more will have a chance to watch STiD! . Captain Craig
I thought the same thing? People assume we've all got movie titles lined up in Acronym city. Posts should be treated like Lit Class imo sometimes. Use the full name first, then later on the shortened form is appropriate. TKK????

TKK was nothing compared to POTC; c'mon, a R-rated movie with such a crazy IM and good performance OS and WW as well, but even POTC is trumped by POTC and its sequels. Captain Craig
Come on now. For all the slow people: The Karate Kid Lit class on a message board? No way in hell, lol. Only as it pertains to the rule of using a full title then it's acronym. Had you(anyone really this is widespread problem imo) simply typed The Karate Kid, then later used TKK the last several posts going huh, TKK--- wouldn't have happened. I was taught in English that something like TKK would not be an acronym. It would be initialism.

Captain Craig
I was taught in English that something like TKK would not be an acronym. It would be initialism. I did get the nomenclature wrong, good catch. Point stands though. Too far removed from films you can't just whip out some letters and instantly expect everyone knows what you meant. This happens a lot. A poster whips out some initials and a few posts down someone is going, "What film did you mean?" Save us all an extra couple of posts to just keystroke in the title. Unless one is a super slow typer what are we talking about, another 3-5 seconds effort? Just type that title out, at least once.
