Maybe here or there, but it's not like they go off on vacation for months at a time. Their livelihood depends on generating work, so even if they're at home, they could be reading a script or giving notes on one, or doing script meetings with writers and/or producers, or doing meet-and-greets with studios or production companies, or generating pitches for projects, or doing research for projects, or in pre-production on a project, etc. Usually they're doing several of those at once.

Correct and I don't think F. Gary Gray has had any downtime in quite a while. They might appear to because their IMDB goes "years" in between projects, but they are usually working. He shot Law Abiding Citizen in 2008, worked in post, released and promoted it in late 2009. Then he did some commercial work and music video work in 2010. He was then involved heavily and was nearly the director of Captain America: Winter Soldier. That meant meetings, script reading, and other pre-production activity with Marvel. He then dropped out of that to take over as Director and Producer of Straight Outta Compton. That took a lot of time and went through many delays for production and casting. They finally start filming in summer of 2014, they shoot all the way into early 2015. Editing and post production followed by promotion and release in Aug. 2015. He almost immediately is named Director of Fast 8 and goes into pre-production and then filming throughout 2016 and then post production followed by promotion and release in April 2017. If he takes a break after that, it will be the first time in over 4 years. Long story short, they are working pretty much the whole time and often on things nobody know about and a lot of things that fall through or don't happen.

Deep Wang
Another trailer for a F&F movie, another time I repost this gem. This was made BEFORE Tokyo Drift folks. They have since done some of the things in this video. It is the best video.
RobinHood26
One thing is forsure, no matter what director they get, the acting never gets better, and timing half the time feels kinda forced. Gotta love it. I can't wait

water
I believe so. it might require you to watch 15 seconds or something but it's still autoplay and that's very different from needing to deliberately want to find and click a youtube video edit: apparently it's only 3 seconds lol. this is why facebook views are meaningless Edited December 15, 2016 by water

Well, Furious 7 was a high point anyways b/c of Paul Walker's passing. A large drop wouldn't surprise me.
