I would argue that the F7 rating is a bit inflated due to what happened with Walker. Looking back, considering all the stuff they had to do to adjust, the story is a bit messy. Not to mention there were no real surprises. This story is more refined and has more surprises. Spoiler Plus the element involving Dom and Elena's kid plays out better on screen. Simply put, Cipher holds Elena and the kid hostage. If Dom refuses to help, they die. If he speaks a word of them, they die. Although, Dom only knows about Elena when Cipher first leverages him.
