IMO its a win for 2013. We were 12 or 13% behind in January and now have closed the gap. Summer movies have been crazy frontloaded, but as a whole this summer was on fire. Itll be great to see what the final 4 can do. 2013 might pull it off. Edited August 11, 2013 by jandrew

Just got back from "Chennai Express" - the movie was sold out for my screening and this one actually got a bigger auditorium compared to most Hindi movies. The movie was hilarious, plenty of references for fans of Hindi (and SRK) films. The audience was very involved and plenty of applause at the end. Good to see that SRK is back with a huge hit after some time.

Unless Elysium manages to be huge os it will be sony's fourth summer failure this year. Who honestly spends 115m on an original hard r rated sci if action film? Even Oblivion was only 120m and that had Tom Cruise in it....

And that's not even mentioning the fact that WTM cost only $37M versus the $115M that Elysium cost.
