Well, I enjoyed it. There's a great montage at the start of the movie that introduced all the world leaders, each represented by hilarious stereotypes of their country.

 

With regard to budget, I would be surprised if it was as cheap as 60M. The first one was 70M and this looks much more expensive.

 

 (But there are so many factors in a films cost so hard to tell just by watching the film)

I think the financing and overseas sales were handled by Millennium Films so Focus/Gramercy are only distributing it in the US. I wonder if many of the local distributors for LHF also bought Gods of Egypt?

I agree that 60 mill seems very low. But it was the only source i could find

Just got out, had a good time, nothing special but a lot of fun. I did leave with one major thought. What fucking clown of a location scout thought that the Top Gear test track could stand in for Stanstead Airport? Idiots.

My 20:40 show last night was pretty much sold out. Only seats left were on the side sections of the front 3 rows.

75% any time of the day, any day of the week is fantastic. Unless it's a tiny screen or you only got like two screens in the cinema.

Wasn't bad. Wasn't as good as the original and it had stupid moments but it was pretty entertaining.

You know, it seems like...given this is performing at 2/3rds domestic performance of the first...but that's irrelevant international...

 

that at there's a ton of headroom international for this movie...but...will it?  Cause Olympus did shit international last time.
