Alpha
Pixie dust mined by [kidnapped and occasionally murdered] child slave labor is just the kind of stuff that screams fun for the entire family! I cant imagine why it's not getting a Holiday release. You know, that actually got me thinking; in Neverland, nobody ages. So basically these children are kidnapped and forced to work in the mines forever. Pretty dark for what's supposed to be a family film. TalismanRing
Remember that one family movie... Indiana Jones and a temple of doom? So stop complaining about 'dark themes in family movies'. The movie that spurred along a PG-13 rating because of graphic violence?

Yeah, except in Pan's case Hugh Jackman in cosplay forces the children to work for the rest of their neverending lives. And their one hope is not Indiana Jones, but a scrawny little British kid. Alpha
Not forever, some get murdered . Well that's ok. I'm pretty sure the sweet release of death is far more pleasure than being forced into slave labor and hearing pirates sing anachronistic punk songs. MovieMan89
Remember that one family movie... Indiana Jones and a temple of doom? So stop complaining about 'dark themes in family movies'. Using the movie responsible for a whole new MPAA rating is probably not a good example...
dudalb
From the reviews one of the film's big problems is one minute it's pretty dark, and the next is pretty silly, with not much in the way of transition. It's a film that cannot make up it's mind what it wants to be. Edited October 7, 2015 by dudalb
MovieMan89
Nothing about it looks "dark" in the trailers, mainly just fun and lighthearted. So I can already see how that is going to make for some jarring tonal shifts.
Frozen
BO predicts $16,500,000 this weekend for Pan, which puts it in third place behind the Martian and Hotel Transylvania. Embarrassing.

Bishop54
Who thought this film would be a good idea? And an idea that warranted a $150M budget...heads need to roll.
Bishop54
Hedlund is a terrible, terrible actor, so this doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I have never seen him in anything but you can tell he's terrible from just the Pan trailers.
