Pan | Oct. 9, 2015 | New Trailer on Page 25!

Could Pan have made a profit if its budget had been 80m instead of 150m? The person that greenlighted such a massive budget should be fired.

It was greenlit by the previous regime at WB so I guess by the time the new regime came in, it was already in production so they couldn't do anything about it.

650 Million Thursday. Bombs Away!

Even given that this is a film that was aimed at families (though I agree that some of the dark stuff in this film does not scream family film),and those generally have not very good Thursday nights, this was a not very good opening. Pan's gonna bomb, and bomb bigtime.

Probably not if it opens with less than $20 million domestic and Goose Bumps comes out next week, followed soon by Peanuts.

Disney must be having schandefrunde (joy at the misfortune of others because they had it coming) at Pan's flopping because the first really big action sequence is shamelessly swiped from The Mouse's animated sequel of a few years ago.

The flying Pirate ship .on it's raid on London during World War 2, get mistaken for a Nazi bomber by the RAF,and is pursued by Anti Aircraft Fire and Spitfires.....

BOth Hollywood Reporter and Variety are headlining that Pan is bombing badly on Friday, and is looking at opening in the low 20's as a best case scenario, with not breaking 20 Million a real possibility.

It's official, Pan is a painful bomb for Warners.
