not sure the ratio will hold up, considering that in many countries its a pretty wide release

could be 20/80

seems like its likely to open over 10 million considering the tickets trends, which could be good for up to a  possible 60 million ww opening

if thats happens them I imagine theyll likely extend for one more week

Exactly, a lot of what if's in play here. I'm hearing that pre-sales are strong in Asian countries, how true that is who knows. I guess we'll know by Sunday afternoon.

So it would be pretty troll to come in here and suggest that it is likely going to flop and Disney are sweating bullets?

@Eric from Progressive

read this page

I have taken the liberties of threadbanning Marveldcfox for 24 hours. However, I suggest next time to not simply @ a mod, but hit the Report button on a poster you believe is trolling or acting out of line. I was at the movies when you tried to notify me, so I couldn't get to this until a couple hours later. By using our Report system, it ensured somebody on the staff would look at the issue.

if Cinema's don't want to get KO'd by streaming they actually gotta put the effort in to have a better picture/experience... it's such a shame.

It's so unpredictable going to the cinema int he UK I swear, you have no idea what you're gonna get.

It's why I tend to stick to Dolby or IMAX shows as much as I can. Here in Crawley I've had to rant at a manager before about consistent issues in at least 3 of the screens before 😅 pretty sure the blue pixels issue in one of the larger screens is getting WORSE 😭

Oh god the dead pixels is so annoying! Screen 10 is the absolute worst for it too, there's like 4 or 5 dead zones it's disastrous.

Which showing are you going to? Might end up in the same one 🤣 (I'll probably be going to 7:30 Saturday, but haven't confirmed yet)

Based on recent re-issues, Avatar‘s signals indicate it has a shot to upset The Woman King for second place this weekend — but that’s not a lock. Disney reports an estimated 90 percent of Avatar screenings will be in 3D, including virtually all IMAX shows and 85 percent of other PLF screens (including 1,600 RealD 3D locations). 2D showtimes are minimal. This is the first time the film will be screening 4K HDR.

Drove me nuts in 10 when I saw Casino Royale a couple of weeks back. They couldn't even display Clerks properly in 12 at the weekend either, bloody nightmare.

Probably one of the Sunday shows for me, got too much going on before then 😅

Ah damn that sucks, and yeah i try to avoid 12-15 when i can, too much stairs 🤣

My favourite screen (other than screen 6 obvs) are 3 and 4, aka the old "premium" screens because you get so much leg room.

The leg room is good, but the extra light from the safety lights is insane 😅

People are starting to come from screenings and so far there are 2 different mid-credit scenes being shown.

both are water themed, but I have no idea why different screenings have different scenes

Someone on reddit guessed that the scenes you get might be format dependent, not sure how many scene options there are, but I love the suspense.

This might motivate some people to see it multiple times, to collect different scenes.

Man I got responsibilities to take care of. I don’t have time to watch other formats for some stupid clips.
