The act of holding two seemingly contradictory positions in ones own head at the same time.

For example:

We're on a Box Office Theory forum yet people seem to actively dislike discussion around the highest grossing film at the box office of all time. Instead of being in awe of its might/magic/magnificence (or whatever you want to call it).

Avatar is might and magic

Avatar 2 to make less than Avatar even with 11 years of inflation and it being a sequel?

Yes, it happens. AVATAR adjusted is 893m. Take a modest 25% drop and you end up with 669m. It's quite possible it'll drop more than 25%. (Also possible it might drop less, obviously).

Avatar record in this moment is impossible to reach for any franchise .

I told you many times only Avatar 2 can beat Avatar BUT it’s difficult

How about a modest 25% increase?

Seems extremely unlikely on the domestic front.

2020 can't come sooner.

Avatar 2 will be an incredible film which combines visual spectacle with a big hearted story.

To me this is as likely as the sun coming up tomorrow morning, there's no way it isn't great.

Jim's got the art of high budget blockbusters down to a science and this is his Manhattan project, expect your expectations to be nuked.

You know I love movies with great stories and visual effects. Fortunately nothing comes closer to Avatar. Yesterday I was watching it again to refresh my mind and it was like I am watching this movie for the first time. That curiosity I have never felt before
