Well Mattel infamously sued the band for damaging the Barbie brand, so yes they absolutely do care about the song

I’m talking about the WB executives who danced to the song. 
 

Also, for the record, Mattel did their own version of the song for a commercial back in 2009, without permission from the band, of course.
