DAR
Is Bates Motel any good? Watched one episode couldn't get into to it. Hannibal is the better choice
Mattrek
Dracula was pretty good. Now I'm watching Braveheart.Braveheart is in my top 10 movies of all time an incredible emotional roller coaster of an epic story. Love love love that film. Hard to believe it's 3 hours long.

DAR
Just following up on DRACULA and its 2.7 multi. Here are the multipliers for all the top movies of 1992. Aladdin - 11.3 Home Alone 2 - 5.5 Batman Returns - 3.56 Lethal Weapon 3 - 4.36 Few Good Men - 9.11 Sister Act - 11.7 Bodyguard - 7.34 Wayne’s World - 6.71 Basic Instinct - 7.79 League of Their Own - 7.8 Unforgiven - 6.73 Hand That Rocks the Cradle - 11.6 Under Siege - 5.31 Patriot Games - 4.5 That's pretty bad for Batman. Speaking of Sister Act my grandma when she bought a VCR years ago she owned two movies, Sister Act 1 and 2

Speaking of Sister Act my grandma when she bought a VCR years ago she owned two movies, Sister Act 1 and 2 Yeah, BR was crazy frontloaded. Of course, it also set the OW record too...

Moviedweeb
I still have faith in EoT to cross $100M eventually. I'm not sold on TF4 hitting that with it's opening. I have faith in both but only care about the former.
Accursed Arachnid!™
Yeah, BR was crazy frontloaded. Of course, it also set the OW record too... BR today would have opened to 140m+ and ended with 300-320m or so.
tommycruise
Hopefully EOT doesn't fall more than 50% next weekend and 100 can still be in play
Dementeleus
BR today would have opened to 140m+ and ended with 300-320m or so. Basically, it was the SM3 of its day (in terms of BO performance, at least.)
grim22
BR today would have opened to 140m+ and ended with 300-320m or so. Batman and Robin adjusts to 75M, without IMAX and 3D and all that. If released today, pretty sure that B&R would open to 100M+.
Jack Nevada
Why did movies have such small OW's back in the day?
Dementeleus
Why did movies have such small OW's back in the day? To some degree, because they opened in far fewer theaters (with no screen-doubling). BATMAN RETURNS had a super-wide release for 1992, and it opened in 2600 theaters.

I hate the culture now of huge opening, huge dropoff, 2.5 multi the end. I love seeing films leg it out. Then in 2026 itll be $190M OW/ $220M total. Please moviegoers, dont let this happen! Stay at home and wait for the 6th weekend.

So yeah, that'll probably happen.

kayumanggi
So, DOFP is at 478, not 475, as BOM reports? It increased I guess, but BOM deducts Puerto Rico's number from the gross. Fox counts it twice. I don't know why. lol
