Such a strange summer. Who would have guessed August would be the redeeming month for the box office? I'm guessing having the 1st and 4th biggest August openings back to back is gonna make studios reconsider August's role in the summer from now on. Expect a lot more higher profile tentpoles.

When I hear the name, it makes me think it's some crappy Windows 95 edutainment CD-ROM about oceanography, with grainy, choppy MPEG-1 clips. I wonder if GOTG will increase from estimates like it did last weekend. Seems possible to me since the projected Sunday drop is quite big.
