Neo is right about 2017 guys.  It's way to crowded in April, May, June and July.   August is the only month that's empty right now.   I'm thinking 2018 too.

TS4/DM3 targets the same demo you are looking at 350M+ movies anytime you go this high you get crossover. You think Uni will schedule DM3/F8 on the same month? Maybe not F42 but WW should do 60+ and 175M+ Why have competition when it can be avoided?

What about March 24? Divergent finale is not gonna be much competition, and it's two weeks after Kong and two weeks before PR2.

 

Alternatively put it on PR2's date and move PR2 later in the year.

Hits like fast 7 and the upcoming TA2 should be more common

However simply put wide appealing massive tent pole blockbusters have not been the norm really.

Yes. FF7 does have a shot but it depends on how it holds in China.
