Considering they're debating re-casting or doing away with the character it might be Smith who isn't interested or at least not at the previous price.

 

I think he helped the first a lot O/S but with the rise of Robbie and how well AQM did O/S and a lower budget he's probably considered expendable at his price tag.

It's probably just an executive producer credit with no real involvement which seemed to be the case for him with the first Suicide Squad as well.

Yep.  The Snyders will get "Producing" credit until everything attached to every iteration of this particular set of franchises is tapped out and they completely reboot. 

 

...It's telling that Nolan didn't want his name or Syncopy on anything past Man of Steel, though... 🧐

can't be worse mess than the first one. I have a good feeling about this. many movies start out seemingly messy but end up great.
