Jurassic World Weekend Thread | Official Est. 204.6M | 208.8M - Actuals

Recommended Posts

I didn't think June 2013's record would be broken this year (still a bit iffy to be honest) but this makes things much more likely.

I adore how you always care about how much movies make in a month rather than getting excited for films.

Never change.

Man I can't keep up with this thread.

Wonderful numbers. It's a fun, invigorating movie that resurrects a classic franchise, so I'm thrilled for it.

But now I have to work really really REALLY hard to keep my Episode 7 fanboyism in check for predictions.

what a difference a night makes.  I see Jurassic World for a second time, get home at 2 am.  I wake up to see the numbers just keep going up from what I saw originally and now there's a possibility for best OW ever.  Amazing :o

Yeah, I have no idea what to predict for it now. Good thing we'll have a good 6 months until that film's release, but my first feeling is, if nostalgia propelled JW to numbers this high....my God, SW is going to obliterate all we know.

OK! where is that Bloak on this site who has a Mad Max Fury Road avatar yet posts bull about how bad it was or how bad it's doing at the Box office?

Anyhow, NOW you can talk bull, yes, it DROPPED off a cliff now.

The last few weeks it was doing well.

Eh, a 50% drop in the face of a 200m opener is hardly dropping off a cliff. I think its weekend will end up a tad underestimated as usual.
