God damn it!! So it broke the WW OW record. Ughhh.

Buuuut... this got 100M from China and it STILL failed to set a new OS OW?! LOOOOOOOOOOOL. Also, it means it only made 210M ouside of China, which is even more pathetic.

Ughh, that felt good.

Nah people only cared about dinosaurs and pratt.

Just because people only cared about dinosaurs, it doesn't mean JW wasn't lecturing them. It just went over their thick heads.

Jurassic Park has always been about lecturing and taking an almost sadistic glee of displaying mankind being munched by their very own hubris and arrogance coming to bite their asses literally. Now Jurassic World is all about the numb audience's self-indulgence wanting moar blood, moar dino carnage and the escalation in entertainment rehashing the same old to shake out of their apathy.

But everything you're saying indicates you're getting your idea about it from gossip rags and stuff like Entourage. Even putting all aside, though, why would Whedon's opinion about one scene (or even the whole movie) be invalidated because the movie made a ton of money? It's his opinion.

I swear reading comprehension is dead.

It was invalidated because he was wrong and buying in to the latest latest PC Police poutrage that has been suffocating social media for months. I don't care what anyone says, it's simply classless to publicly trash another artist's work and even accuse it of bigotry, and when it's not even out yet. I don't care who he is and what movie he was talking about. The movie then making more than his project is just enjoyable karma.

Says you and your delusional mind only

Please the film really got going when pratt went on screen.

Non of the characters in the film were great by any standard, Pratt was probably a distant second to Zach I think his name was.

He was the best character in the film but you don't even remember his name?
