bapi
But honestly with so many family-friendly movies it's impossible to predict 2016. Tarzan, The Jungle Book, Moana, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Zootopia, The Secret Life of Pets... Edited August 16, 2015 by bapi
MrFanaticGuy34
I wonder why it's only DOM-wise counted.....shouldn't it be for WW, too? WW-wise....should be a bit more fair as well.

SuperBatman
That logic doesn't apply all the time though. Thats true but when we're making early predictions anything could happen.

Ethan Hunt
Never underestimate Spielberg my friend. True... True, I still think 200M seems like a stretch. I just don't see it unless it turns out to be really really great
BadAtGender
What's The BFG? Spielberg. Based on a Roald Dahl novel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_BFG His return to crowd pleasing summer fare? Yeah, 200m is easily possible.
The Futurist
Passengers is the only "original" tentpole of 2016 ? How big is the BFG book Spielberg is adapting ?

Ray G
Passengers is the only "original" tentpole of 2016 ? How big is the BFG book Spielberg is adapting ? Probably the fourth most iconic Roald Dahl book, behind Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, and Matilda. It's pretty famous and beloved. If it comes out good, the Spielberg name and the FX will make it a big hit.
Ethan Hunt
Roald Dahl adaptions don't exactly have a strong history at the box office, and honestly the story is appealing to anyone but children
kowhite
Passengers is the only "original" tentpole of 2016 ? How big is the BFG book Spielberg is adapting ? 150m ish... It's big. And it's a Disney movie...like, they're paying for some of it...but it's not. Cause really...Disney isn't going to tell fucking Spielberg what to do. Plus it's not really their movie. BFG seriously could be interesting. Depending on your belief in modern day Spielberg.
