Not gonna lie, I don't think most aspects of that trailer were bad. I even didn't mind the genie. 

 

but those COSTUMES. Man, that makes it look like some Gods of Egypt-level shit. And I really think that "look" is going to hurt this film. Who knows where this ends up; if it truly is awful I can see a world where it does Prince of Persia numbers, but I could also honestly see it still doing like an 80/250 run. Gonna entirely depend on how general audiences take to it.

he jumped on the rewind memes! he probably screens his youtube videos for test audiences. i wouldn't be surprised if he's got guys doing market research and focus groups for his channel. they'll tell him it's the right thing to do.
