MovieGuyKyle17
Im concern there are no reviews out yet. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
baumer
There is zero interest in this. Roberts and Clooney, directed by Jodi Foster....a decade ago this opens to 30 million and finishes with close to 100. Now,it might not make 25 million.
Mojoguy
Why do studios still release movies on the second weekend of May? Talk about dump weekend...

It looks like a movie version of the TV show "Mad Money" that makes no sense. Jim Cramer sucks & so will this.

This is the type of movie that could succeed or die on the reviews.
La Binoche
I didn't like the script. It's not bad, just very pedestrian. Weird that Jodie would be so passionate about it. I'm rooting for her, though.
grim22
Screenings tomorrow, so I guess we should get ready for RT watch and the large number of discussions here.

Krissykins
With all the moaning about lack of female directors, yet this is tracking at under $10M. People like to moan online but don't go and see the films.

I've been interested in seeing it since I first saw the trailer a couple of months ago but last night I saw a TV spot with the voice-overs saying how great the movie was while listing no legit sources. That's usually not a good sign.
Krissykins
I think the lack of reviews is because this is opening at Cannes tomorrow, rather than a hide-the-film embargo.

Lot of movies have reviews up before they premiere at Cannes.

Yeah, it looks like it, but I actually selected those two films very carefully. -They were both released on Friday. (Yeah, hardly special) -They both grossed less than $100M domestic after inflation. -They both opened between #2 and #5. -They're both rated R. -They both opened in 3000+ theater locations. -They were both non-Memorial Day releases in May. OK, but it seems like you're assuming a really high opening weekend.
