It's not exactly a popular opinion but the best movie of 2013 in my opinion was Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

 

2014 belonged to Whiplash IMO, 2012 was the year of The Avengers, and 2011 was Potter's time to shine. 2010 was Social Network's year.
