the draw of the TF films were the action and visuals. Hell one of the big problems with TLK is that  there was barely any action in it and the climax was basically people floating around

The fact that is 110 minutes make me excited about it, hopefully it will be just dumb action nonstop but not enough to get tiring like Bay releasing 170 minute movies

Transformer strikes me as more of walk up franchise though so I could see a 50M~ OW DOM even with this tracking.

My own supicions is that it was just too soon for a reboot.

So apparently in the new animated series there is a non-binary character, so expect people to annoyingly try to blame any underperformance of this movie on that for some reason

Part of me wonders if the studio overestimated how much audiences care about Transformers as a brand/IP itself, or did people just enjoy the Bay films themselves at the time. No attachment beyond that.
