Loved it. Admittedly, I have not been able to watch any of the original trilogy movies in their entirety. I've seen bits and clips of them, but mostly know about them from what I've read. I've watched the prequels (because of Natalie Portman) and found them okay.

 

TFA is my favorite though, and I can't really say it's a rehash of ANH since I haven't seen that. I remember the hype before TFA came out that friends who'd never seen a SW movie were interested. 

 

I'll try to watch all of them before TLJ but I think TFA movie brought in a lot of new SW fans and R1 kept them. So I don't consider R1 an unnecessary standalone movie.

Rogue One is excessively shitty bc the 'story' was done so much better in the books. They should've just used previous lore. Jmo.

I've thankfully ignored ALL of the Star Wars Extended Universe. No regrets. Love what they are doing with the franchise right now, and I'm even excited for Solo.

I loved Rogue One. For me it pips TFA as the best Star Wars movie of the current bunch. Just by a little though. 

 

The aerial battle over Scarif was better than the one over Starkiller base. The battle ON Scarif was also better than the battle on starkiller base. The shot of death star destroying capital of Jedah was better done than starkiller base destroying those republican planets. And the best part by far was Darth Vader mowing down the rebel soldiers

If Justice League is as good as Rogue One, I'd be happy and pleased as fuck. I compare the two because of the similar problems throughout the production.
