MovieMan89
Basically TFA has only been deviating much from Avatar's holds on Fridays so far. With the biggest exceptions being its second Sunday and second Monday.

TFA was clearly not opening. However, I don't see why they couldn't just create a new record category or something. Agree. As I posted that I only saw a white page = they were updating. They should do a non opening weekends chart without givimg 2nd, 3rd,... too I think (not only for this movie, I repeatedly searched for those)

I think the weekday numbers will obviously be a little subdued, but I see no reason why the Friday and Saturday bumps won't be pretty big. I'm calling for a 51 million dollar weekend coming off a 32-33 million dollar week.

MattW
American Sniper's FSS (removing previews) was 83.4m, and it did 9.9, 7.5, 7.6 for Tue,Wed,Thu. The incredibly strong second weekend would have me believe that weekday level is the upper limit for Star Wars. MTWTh I think will end up in the 22-30m range

I think a few are forgetting the inflated Friday numbers due to the holiday. Though, it should recover quite well over MLK weekend in mid-January. It's not following Avatar but it definitely isn't following the average holiday movie. It's falling somewhere in between. Well, it's clearly not a moon, but isn't a space station either. 11 minutes ago, #ED2-D2 said: It's safe to expect 58% - 62% drop today(8.1M - 8.9M), however if it does worse, then I'm going away for a day or two, not in the mood to hear anyone's shit. Tele, cover me. The force is strong in this one, I can sense it. No harm will come from a harsh drop as a.) the ride so far will stand out as an incredible one now and forevermore and b.) the weekend(s) will make up for it. At least that's what I choose to believe, even if all other people around me deny the existence of such a thing as a mystical energy field that controls the destiny of this juggernaut pushing it beyond the limits.

rustyspoons89
The last 2 Monday's have surprised us... Perhaps this Monday can surprise us once again. As noted earlier, a lot of schools don't return until mid week. I have a hunch it will be over 10.
