Don't feed the troll.  He's just being a troll.

For the record, no opening weekend record holder has ever had a multiplier of more than 3.53.  So once TFA goes past 873 million, it'll set another record.

So let all the trolls say and do what they want.  This SW/Avatar stuff is old and boring.  SW won.  Nothing more needs to be said.  It could be pulled from theaters today and it will have surpassed everyone's wildest imagination in terms of gross.  No one thought it would make 820 million.  No one.....at least not before presales came out.

Watching The Room.  I'm very mad already.

BTW...this is the second film I've seen in a week that is co-produced by Ireland and Canada, the other being Brooklyn.  What's up with that?

I'm pretty sure every OW record holders up to Jurassic Park had a better multiplier than that. JP was past a 7.5.

Since then, yeah, it's been a lower ratio.

seeing all the other actuals it appears TFA's drops are pretty much in line with the other movies. GG wins helped soften Revenant's drop more than the rest.

Its a great number for Rev, but a "fine" drop for TFA.

Right now, looks like a $25m - $30m MLK 3-Day weekend is coming up for TFA. Maybe friday increase will be much better than last week's but personally i don't think it'll exceed 100% or it might pass it barely, it'll lose theaters for thew first time, which should hurt it a little bit, even though it'll still have a massive amount.
