WrathOfHan
Steve Martin, Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk Liam Neeson, Silence Michael Shannon, Loving JK Simmons, La La Land Justin Theroux, The Girl on the Train Wouldn't be surprised if this is the category I'm most wrong on, not many are standing out outside of Neeson and Martin

Jake Gittes
I think Jared Leto wouldn't get nominated for SS even if he died this year. Edited March 2, 2016 by Jake Gittes
SLAM!
I disagree. I have this feeling that Jared Leto will do a very phenomenal job, enough of a job to be in discussion. While it might be admittedly difficult for him to edge his way into the five, I don't think all the remarks regarding his method acting were overstating anything. filmlover
A David Ayer action pic (and a comic book one at that) isn't getting any acting nominations. I mean really now. Logan Lerman has a better shot at getting retroactively nominated for Fury (lol remember when he had Oscar buzz coming out of Cinemacon in early 2014?) than Jared Leto does at getting one for Suicide Squad. WrathOfHan
I'm predicting Paul Greengrass for Director right now but predicting SS above the line is a big stretch.

I honestly forgot he was even in the movie until this post. So...no nomination, then?

He did a great job. his performance was good, but it was tiny. you do realize the academy could get away with nominating RDJ for best "Supporting" actor for this movie if they wanted to right? and it's also probably the only performance the academy would even begin to look at for this film.

CoolioD1
it's a showy part but i'm a little hesitant that silence is even coming out this year. if that doesn't pan out michael shannon is getting raves for nocturnal animals. that would be cool.
