I see people are looking at Pirates PS and thinking 300m is happening !!!!!!! There is no sign of that. Its PS comparison with FATE wont go well at all. Fate increased to 47m+ PS by the sunday before release. I dont think Pirates will do 1/3. But Pirates should have better PS Multi bcos it wont be that big. But the numbers posted by @POTUS ( 5 day 1B) looks to me high end and it wont do more than 1.5x that total as competition is not easy.WW and Mummy are opening in the following weeks. 

 

Early PS does not say much. Even Beast had a strong start and then its PS slowed down. Kong also had us go up and down and it overperformed during release. But Kong and Fate had better release dates than Pirates.

Civil War and most others started 8-9 days back last year. It's following BatB and Kong consistently and is still pointing to the 70s. 

Tuesday nite 6.1m ×1.22×1.22×1.22×1.22×1.22×1.3×1.4×1.45×1.75= 76m. 300m possible if does 4x PS like Kong and XXX. I'm thinking 3.25x PS 250m

Kong will be the best comparison. It's maintain a 2 to 2.1x ratio daily. Kong finished with 36m.  FF8 ramped up weak at the end due to sellouts.

We were certain Kong was not a 200m opener by day 3 and thought low 100s by 4 or 5. The 4x PS multi got it to 150m. 

Beast we were certain early on it was below 100m.

We were close on the PS on FF8 but the multi was an unexpected all time low. The multi has been all over the place lately, 2.3(Ff8) to 4.2 (XXX).

I'm certain P5 will land close to 75m, but whether it RE6s 2.9x or kong's 4x  is hard to determine. 

We GotG right too in the high 20s for PS. It did 3.37×.

Its looking like having a solid PS day. at 8.22m OD and 2.3m previews. Its looking like a break out for sure. I hope we see a 1.5B+ movie and not something that crashes after OD.

 

Edit: Looking at Day 2/3 PS also makes it look great. Sunday is slightly below Saturday(I guess that is bcos sat is workday). It should be good 5 day OW for Pirates. 250m OD could mean 1.2B 5-day and total around 1.8B.

PS were only up 14% yesterday after 18% the day before but are looking to get up over 20% today at 10m+.  68-70m now the target which still means 200-250m OD at 2.9-3.5× PS. The 5 day weekend should be 5x OD.

 

Barring a 7.9 rating, 1b+ 5 day open is looking locked. 1.2b possible
