I've never seen Frozen. I did see the Frozen Once Upon a Time episodes so I feel like I know the story.

I forgot they are making a Frozen 2. My god, it can't be any worse than the first one. What a pile of trash that was. So terribly generic. Aladdin and The Lion King were the last great motion pictures from that studio.

Imo Lion King is as generic as it gets. Tangled is the best ever.

From what I recall, Inside Out did not take a big hit from Minions - it only dropped 40% the weekend Minions opened.

I expect Dory to drop harder though -- I think it will drop 45-47% against Pets. Which is still pretty good; I partly expect the harder drop because of last weekend being a more inflated 3-day holiday weekend due to July 4th falling on the Monday this year.

Peace,

Mike

Inside Out had its smallest weekend % drop on the Minions debut. Granted, it was still a more than 40% drop.

Yeah, it dipped 40% when Minions opened. Took a hit but certainly not a "big" hit.

Ummm, no it didn't. It dropped 40% that weekend, which was lower than its 2nd(42%) and 3rd(43%) weekend drops.

Dory will ill do just fine this weekend against Pets.

IOs previous weekend to minions was july 4th on a Saturday. It was deflated by $5-6m. and would have been down just 34% that weekend(3rd) like weekends 5 and 6. 34% makes sense after having a tremendous 2nd weekend hold of 42%. when you bump the 3rd weekend to 35m+, you theoretically  have a 50% drop against minions.

IO also wouldn't have jumped 63% on Friday if it wasn't for the 4th so it evens out.

The prior Friday went up  58%, the following was 51%.  Maybe the July 3rd was a few % higher(300K) but that's about it and it should have increases Sat where the 5-6m shortfall stands. IO was up just 29% this Friday because of Minions.

Does The King rip this off or did they use classical music as part of the score? Either way, it's so epic and beautiful I wanted to post it.

This reminds me so much of Death Note!

Frozen is solid, but not the best WD Animation recently. Anyways, WD has had a lot of great movies since TLK. They had also some really forgettable movies.

From what i have seen

The great WD ones

Lilo and Stitch

Bolt

Tangled

Wreck it Ralph

The solid ones

Tarzan

Mulan

Dinosaur

BH6

The meh ones

Princess and the frog

Hunchback

Hercules

Rescuers

The awful ones

Pocahontas

Home on the range

Chicken little

Treasure Planet
