Dinner at the Blankments' table:

My dad spent the entire meal trying to convince me to skip Sausage Party because it's "food porn" and he never heard that term before. So I had to explain him that that's a pun. He still is trying to convince me not to see it

My younger brother saw it this afternoon and said it was "okay, not that great though." He wasn't carded though and there was only ten other people in the theater lol

NOW I'M OFF TO SEE IT YESSS

For real, Lumet is the most underrated director of all-time. It seems like he is never talked about outside of hardcore film fans.

I'm actually pumped for Ghost Rider and fugitive Daisy this season.

I can't wait to see Ghost Rider done on ABC's budget. Comedy potential = unlimited.

Yes, exactly. I don't know why it's so hard to acknowledge that, on the one hand, WB/DC is struggling with their CU because each film has to essentially re-succeed, which doesn't bode well for sequels or big-team ups... or on the other hand, that their marketing team (and inherent interest in the characters) means each of these movies is still successful in their own right. Not successful as they could have been, of course, but it's not like they're hemorrhaging money.

A lot of people think WB should sell DC because of the poor critical reception of the first DCEU films which is ridiculous because DC is more than just the DCEU with the TV series doing well both domestically and internationally, the animated series and DTVs do well with JL Action later this year, games like Batman: Arkham and Injustice and not that including the various merchandising streams which Batman alone sells really well second only to Spider-Man. DC is an important revenue maker for Warner Bros and even if we don't see any more DCEU films, they will be DC films being made and distributed by WB.

I was gonna do a jokey ranking of Peter Berg's movies and then I looked at his filmography and threw up everywhere

Friday Night Lights. Wait, I am jizzing over the movie or the show? Which one was Kyle Chandler in? With the quote? What was it?
