In 2015 Mortedcai did 7.7m dom on a 60m budget.

But later that year Black Mass did well with 62.5m dom on a 53m budget.

So Depp is certainly not bo poison else Black Mass should have flopped too.

True. He had his share of hits & flops here and there. That doesn't make him entirely poison when it comes to box office.

But what about critical poison? Cause some of his latest movies like The Lone Ranger, Transcendence & Mortdecai....got very bad reviews from critics.

And speaking of which......Alice 2's $77M DOM-gross is even lower than The Lone Ranger's $89M DOM.

Dude Depp will forever be thier Man for flims like potc or weird roles.

If Pirates 5 flop I can see Disney dropping Depp. Not to mention that after his scandal, Disney might want nothing to do with him.

2016 has a nice lead for now, that's great :)

It's really well positioned to be the biggest year ever. And I am feeling even better than expected grosses for some of the Autumn and Holiday movies.

I can actually see that from where I live.Cinemas are expanding and people are making it a weekend must. 10 years ago I would just walk in and buy my ticket with barely a couple of people before me. Now I am buying my tickets in advance and I never buy/pre-order anything in advance. And if I don't, I get the worst seats or no seats ( specially with superhero movies)

There's no way in hell p5 flops.

Every actor has thier hit or misses.

Everything they touch will not always be gold..

Speaking of international box office, Me Before You has passed $200M.

Image result for me before you gif

I imagine MGM and WB/NL will greenlight the sequel After You.

I know it will most likely make less but it won't flop.

I'm giving it 200 domestic and 450-600 foreign.

P5 can do anywhere from 650 to 850 and that will still be great and far from a flop.

I really don't think Pirates 5 will make 200m. I could see it underperforming, but will see nonetheless.
