It wasn't a bad weekend all things considered. I hope Inferno can do over 30m next weekend.

Maybe someone can update the thread title?

Inferno is not doing 30M. No chance. Bomb incoming.

Still doing substantially less than the first two though. It feels like another Huntsman: Winter's War to me.

Uh no. Inferno can reach 300m worldwide on a 75m budget and Hunstman only made 164m on a 115 budget. Sorry but that is a dumb thing to say

I was talking strictly domestic. I'm predicting Inferno to make just slightly over $20M this upcoming weekend.

Not bombing OS.

The markets that it's doing well in are not markets that usually play similar to the US. Its biggest countries are Russia, Italy and Brazil.

In a market that's much more similar to the US, eg the UK, it is not doing very well and opened equivalent to around 25M.

Opening to 25Mand reaching 3x wouldn't make it a bomb though. I still think it can do 30m but 25m would be okay.

I remember when we used to get actuals after 12 noon central time or shortly there after (lunch break is how I remember) seems anymore the studios don't care about issuing them very quickly, even when there is good news to crow about.

I'm no Madea fan myself (though I respect who is, no issue), but by God, now THAT is an opening. I love pleasant surprises, regardless of how poor a movie may or may not be.

And hell motherfucking yeah to Moonlight's opening as well, stellar to say the least.

Reacher did okay too considering the bad buzz, and Ouija did what it could to fight the horrendous badwill from the original.
