I don't think it will be.  Once you get past the last act, which was good, and the last 3 minutes, which was epic, the rest of the film, the other 100 minutes of it, is kind of problematic...imo.

I would assume it's the opening of the film. Mark Rylance said this in July: 

 

“With some of those old war films you used to get a lot of build-up, you play the guessing game: who’s going to die and who’s going to live. This one has none of that. It’s just BANG! Straight into the middle of a desperate situation.”

Well, I didn't particularly care for this.  The first act was a mess, the 2nd and 3rd are better but feel like things happening without narrative thrust.  Low energy

$30m is a good number, but I'm going to take it with a grain of salt. Did Deadline do a number like this the night of TFA previews?

Also, way to go hitting 40+ pages without the first sign of numbers! The Force is strong with this one.

So the previews look like they have dropped 47%.

 

The opening day in Australia dropped 50%.

 

So basically the same relative performance.
