also adding to that this awful new voting system pretty much guarantees a movie like the master could never win again because so many people would just rank it last. basically stacks the deck towards the "safest" choice which is why i had a problem with it.

That was also when we didn't do preferential ballots. And didn't The Master win by a single vote? It was great to see, anyway. I still remember CJohn's meltdown.

You're just salty because the new voting system is what caused you to lose the BOFFY :ph34r:

 

BTW Silence moved up in the rankings from the preferential system versus straight ballot.  The new system also broke a number of ties.  In general though, both systems delivered the same winners.

This much idolatry for a musical? Give me a break.

It's a dull and overrated movie (although you clearly haven't seen it) but there's nothing wrong with musicals. They can be rad.
