Universal is pleased to announce the return of Jaws with Gareth Edwards directing. They have partnered with WB to set it in the same universe as Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla.

Jaws will be enourmous at 200 feet wide.

Matt Damon is being courted to play the lead role.

Glad this is happening. The original is too slow and boring. There are not enough shark attack scenes, the main characters are all ugly, and there isn't enough diversity. Also it was cruel that he killed the shark at the end. He should have captured it instead. It wasn't the sharks fault that humans invaded its territory. Hopefully Quint and Brody will be portrayed as the bad guys they are

Dark and gritty Jaws then. Yass.

This time, Jaws will actually be on camera more often. You just won't see it because of the shrouding fog and darkness.

So Zack Snyder is directing this?
