Avengers - Infinity War Second Weekend Business

 

Avengers - Infinity War grossed a huge 30 crore nett plus in its second weekend as it took its total to 187 crore nett. The film is now just a few lakhs short of being the highest grossing Hollywood film in India. The total for The Jungle Book was 187.65 crore nett which will be surpassed today and it should go to the 200 crore nett plus mark before the end of the week. This is also a first for a Hollywood release.

 

The way the film is going it will probably do around three times the business of the last Avengers film Age Of Ultron released in 2015 and this takes this franchise to another level in india.

When the OS actuals come in, collections from India will most probably increase.

Okay, after this weekend the trajectory for IW is:

 

$675-725 mln DOM

$940 mln - $1B OS (- China)

$250-500 mln China

 

So, I think $1.85B worldwide is the minimum at this point, with strong chances to beat TFA and maybe even Titanic with over $2.2B if China explode.

Amazing how massive the Australian market is for movies. AIW's made there a bit over 10% of what it has made in North America with a population that is considerably less than that (6.6%)
