Pulse Right now:

1. A Simple Favor

2. The Nun

3. The Predator

4. Crazy Rich Asians

5. A Star Is Born

*Pretty huge for A Star Is Born. I had no idea tickets even went on sale but really bodes well for it to be a box office smash and outgross Venom imo (which is looking more and more likely from my point of view). I mean I guess the question at this point is just how big is A Star Is Born going to be.

They just went on sale recently. FWIW my theater has it booked for the biggest non-PLF auditorium (which will obviously go to Venom) that weekend. Somebody posted a source saying that the two movies aren't far off in tracking and I can believe it tbh.

Yea I had no idea they went on sale lol But either way I'm surprised its selling well so far. I'm also not shocked that your theater is giving it the biggest auditorium. It's looking to be a monster hit. I mean it really is a case of just how big can it get.

It's kind of expected, that A Star is born is selling early tickets. Lady Gaga, despite lower salesrecently, still has a pretty hardcore fanbase, you'd expect to buy tickets, when they go on sale.

Either way, this movie is going to be huge and might even get her back on track musically.

Predator 25-30m

The Nun 25m

A Simple Favor 13-15m

White Boy Rick 8-10m

Unbroken 2-4m

They're underestimating ASF.

And overestimating The Nun!

A Simple Favor has been outselling The Predator for the majority of the day today on Fandango. Take that for what you will.

When was the last time that we had two 40M+ openers in the same weekend? Because I'm feeling A Star Is Born is going to hit double digits with a 4 in the left more and more (and of course, I still have Venom pegged for 60/70M at the very least).

And it's gonna happen in October of all months, too. Man, I don't know about that billion club, but if First Man does good business, Halloween hits the high end of expectations and these two skyrocket, it might stand a better chance at making a billion than we think.

50 shades and lego batman I think (three 30m+ being probably a rare one too):

It's already sold a number of seats for opening weekend so the hype is definitely looking very real. Will be very interesting to see how theaters allocate these movies as we get closer to release, I know someone posted a tweet from an inside source in one of the threads that the two films are amazingly enough tracking not too far from each other.
