Anyone want to guess* the adjusted sellout count (i.e. everything post 6 seats or less)?

I won't supply my guess this time, as I happen to have privileged information. ;)

*serious guesses, BTW, please. ;)

I'll throw my hat in at 188

@Porthos I'm adjusting my number, as I thought the 79 included adjusted when it's actual.

Adjusted Sellout count for half an hour before first show?

Based on 79 sellouts now out of 333 shows and the number that IW increased on the final day and the fact how little people tend to like the seats in the first row to the farthest right and left, I'd say around 199.

30.3k seats and 330 shows give an average number of 92 seats per show so 6 seats or less left would be 93.5% sold and as it's at 83.4% right now, gained 1400 tickets since midnight it should be able to gain that many more or hopefully up to 2k more for just 3k seats left and ~90% directly before previews, now counting out the number of true sellouts and that they increase the percentage, I'd say that would put a good guess  at around 2/3 of the shows and I am being optimistic so I say 199 (because 1 show below 200 would just be way too funny not to happen).

BTW, the TrueIMAX theater in town never did add a 1:30a/1:45a showing even though the demand was clearly there.  Must have either been a contract situation where they couldn't add another time or some other reason why they couldn't add a late night showing, as they've had 1am showings for SW films before.  Very very VEEEERRRY rarely, sure, but it has happened.

From akvalley archive history: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NBK-Sj8qK3GXl-iOdHYeD94YRNxWJ9HqZ9OKdGoSx2o/edit#gid=156106894

Thought I'd try work out using IW's huge days last year if there's a cap on the daily tickets total from Pulse as that seems to be discussed. Each number is the ticket (bundles?) sold on that day (row) for the week of the column specified. Each number is for ALL movies, not just IW

Purchase Date / tickets sold for 23-29th / 30-6th / 7-13th /

23/04/2018 - 63064 - 2556 - 133

24/04/2018 - 69525 - 2900 - 107

25/04/2018 - 74929 - 3539 - 113

26/04/2018 - 79613 - 3016 - 86

27/04/2018 - 83970 - 3845 - 72

28/04/2018 - 79696 - 4903 - 73

29/04/2018 - 64452 - 15989 - 139

Totals:

23rd - 65753

24th - 72532

25th - 78581

26th - 82715

27th - 87887

28th - 84672

29th - 80580

Don't know if there's too much to gather from this, though it does seem that maybe around 90k cap? Perhaps the variation in the 26th to the 29th is from the bundles varying in size? I don't really know.

I think some of it depends on the rate Pulse adds sets, which tends to vary a bit

Perhaps they've opted to show the masterpiece that is Penguins instead?

Been staying off here today so as not to spoil my showing in 2 hours, however had to post this just because it still amazes me.
Even though there are 34 showings at AMC Empire 25 tonight between 5pm and 11:59pm, there are an additional 15 showings between 12am and 5:59am, and some of them are near sellouts.

Total tickets sold (so far) between 12am and 5:59am is 1539 !!!

I'll do another update when I return from the show, as this number is bound to go up. Both the 5am and 5:30am have over 50 tickets sold so far and plenty of room to grow.
There is also plenty of room for them to add additional shows between 12am and 5:59am, so I'm wondering if they will do so since a lot of these shows are selling out!!

At this point, I just can't fathom how it doesn't hit the preview record. It's just too massive not to.
