@Porthos it’s interesting that you bring up Wick selling very little at 10PM because that’s how it is at my theater. 95% of it sales for Thursday night at my theater are coming from the 7PM hour

The 10:00 IMAX showing at my theater for Wick is doing really good. But the 2D one's only got like 6 or 8 seats sold.

This is the spread locally:

I stripped out the non-reserved seating theaters, but the pattern is pretty clear locally.  Only the powerhouse Century Arden has been able to get any sort of sales into the 10pm hour.

It's this spread which makes me curious to see what will happen when the higher selling theaters in the region expand.  And if they don't expand enough, will demand 'spill' over to the less-trafficked theaters in town, or will they wait 'till the weekend to see it?

Ended up being a bit further away ((6 vs 4)) but yeah it's hilarious. Either Aladdin's being overpredicted or Godzilla's being underpredicted or both.

Hope the actual opening 3Day weekend for godzilla is 70-90M.

More like a 31% difference vs a 42% difference  in that DP is doing 68.76% v 58% of AEG's sales.

MT's rolling 24 hour would indicate AEG is playing stronger at night which makes sense

Saturday B.O.

AEG: $27.447m
Pika: $20.480m

Pika doing 74.6% of AEG B.O.

Not that far off in % - and heavy IMAX pre-sales probably skewed the numbers a bit in AEG's favor

Sunday: 12:00AM - 1:00PM PST

AEG: 10,267
Pika: 6,447

Pika doing 62.7% of AEG

Fandango past 24 hours as of 1PM PST

AEG: 28,875
Pika: 19,614

Pika doing 67.92% of AEG

Morning/early afternoon ratios pretty much same as Saturday

Studio Sunday B.O. Estimates:

AEG:  $19.547m

PIKA: $16.89m

Pika doing 86.4% of AEG

Hmmmmm.....

Well EG is a slight underestimate as usual and the Pika number is a ridiculous overestimate

Final count of today, only Thursdays-

Godzilla: KoTM-66 (+10), 8 screenings (3 IMAX, 3 3D, 2 Regular) Second Day

Aladdin-72, 7 screenings (2 IMAX, 2 3D, 2 Regular+Fan Screening)

John Wick-115 (+5), 4 screenings (2 IMAX, 2 Regular) Final week

Oof bad day for Aladdin. Good days for KoTM and John Wick though. In total today Godzilla sold 10 tickets, John Wick sold 5 tickets, and Aladdin lost 9 and didn't sell any.

First count of today, only Thursdays-

Godzilla: KoTM-83 (+17), 8 screenings (3 IMAX, 3 3D, 2 Regular) Third Day

Aladdin-72, 7 screenings (2 IMAX, 2 3D, 2 Regular+Fan Screening)

John Wick-129 (+14), 4 screenings (2 IMAX, 2 Regular) Final week

KoTM officially passed Aladdin today and John Wick's continuing to be insane :ohmygod: Not looking good for Aladdin though.

Oh yeah wanted to say the main growth today was from the IMAX theaters which I expected buuuut also from the 2D showings which is what I wanted to see happen. Good sign there. @KoTM

I actually thought Aladdin would be the one, because this one surely didn't look like a dump. Also, when Solo was scheduled there, there was no way in hell it would have opened that low in an environment pre-Jedi.
