This tells a different story.

Diseny - 3 profitable movies (3 big budget).

Universal - 5 profitable movies (1 big budget), 1 break even (big budget), 1 flop (big budget).

WB - 5 profitable movies (3 big budget), 5 flops (2 big budget).

Fox - 2 profitable movies (big budget), 3 break even (1 big budget), 2 flops.

As far as I know WB has only released 9 movies and only one real flop (King Arthur).

On the one hand, $32 million for the Mummy seems like a major domestic floppage for the movie especially with it's budget. On the other hand, taken as the next Mummy movie, it's OW fall from the last entry (Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) was pretty good. Only $7 million.

9 years of ticket price inflation including PLF formats that weren't boosting Mummy 3's gross in 2008.  The gap is more like $20 million when you account for those factors. Close to 40% drop in weekend admissions.

Good thing for Universal is that overseas markets have exploded since 2008. China in particular is saving their bacon.

You know what I don't think is discussed enough?  Women's suffrage.

I have to say that was perhaps the best amendment ever passed.  Doesn't everyone agree that that was great?  You guys like that one?

207 cume with 59 weekend.

2x more the 2nd weekend will give it 207 + 118 = 325 Dom

But 2x more the 2nd weekend is low-balling at this point.

Can't go below 340 IMO.

If it performs crazy for a couple more weekends then could target DP.
