Assuming Rth is not riddling us, SM:H could have gotten front-loaded due to

-IM fan-base

-the 6th Spidey film in 15 years making this not behave like an original.

-CW being the original appearance of new-SM, making this one sequel like.

Could be... Would be unprecedented for any MCU film to make less on Saturday than its proper Friday. That didn't happen with Amazing Spidey 2. Hell, I doubt that even happened with Spidey 3. But, then again, could be...

Okay, I figured it out.

1. There are 13 superheroes in the banner he posted, this indicated we need to double something from 2013

2. The some places implies the placement of the weekend totals of two movies to correlate to Spidey and WW.  There were six Marvel heroes and 7 DC heroes so we must double that to get #6 and #7 for 2013 as our numbers.

3. #6 made 13.5m, but since Rth went back 7 pages we must subtract 7m from the gross to get 6.5m.  Now we must double it for 13m, and then subtract the 6 Marvel heroes to get 7m, which we add to the Spidey Tingles for a 41m Saturday.

4. But wait, now we must do the same for Wondey, taking MoS's 11m gross, subtracting 7m for 4m, and doubling it for 8m.  However this time we must add a 4m and then subtract 3m because of the Spidey Tingles, and we get a 9m weekend for WW.

5. But that's not all.  We then must combine these two numbers for 50m, which is the OW for Apes Rth foresaw for next weekend.

tl;dr

Spidey 41m Sat, WW 9m weekend, Apes 50m OW (next week)

Dude, that's like a college thesis-level answer:)...would he really spend that much time creating it?:)

MODERATION AGAIN ABOUT SPOILERS

Transformers can be discussed with spoiler tags.  TRANSFORMERS CANNOT BE DISCUSSED WITHOUT THEM.  IN FACT, NO MOVIE CAN.  Gentleman and ladies, we need to respect all movies, even the ones that you hate.  There are posters here who have not seen the movie and they do not deserves to be spoiled on any movie.

There will be day bans handed out to those who got into the untagged Transformers talk.

Look, we hate banning anyone.  But no one is immune to the ban hammer if you can't follow simple rules.

Please respect all movies and the other posters here.  If you want to talk spoilers after the first two week, use the spoiler tags.  But no film is to be discussed without them, especially in the weekend thread.

This is rules 101 people.

The mods have discussed this and we all agree on this.  @Telemachos and @Water Bottle have agreed to this as well.

Thank you.

yeah, it's unprecedented considering the reception is positive too.

SS dropped significantly from true Fri (44.5=>38.5) but that was due to T-Mobile.

The 34M number isn't surprising. Outside of the Marvel loonies most people find the idea of yet another Spider-Man reboot offensive.

Like who?  Like the 6 million people who saw it in the first two days?

Dark Knight Rises dropped 41% on Saturday so this is not unprecedented

still I think that number might be a bit higher

That also has to do with the shooting.  It killed business on Saturday....I think.

Also there was nothing really blatant about RTH's post. When he's blatant he just uses nicknames for the movies and then posts the numbers right next to the name.

When he gets all riddley, he starts posting pictures and stuff.

Thats what my experience with RTH has been like.

I could be wrong about this but this wouldn't be the first time he's used riddles and pictures for folks to figure out a number.
