Blankments
Returning to the Gulch; Sequel and Spin-Off Set in Franchise's Future Pleased with the box office returns for Shiverin' Gulch, Blankments Productions has decided to go ahead with a sequel and spin-off for Shiverin' Gulch. The sequel is currently aiming to hit October Y9. No cast and crew are attached as of yet to the sequel. director George Miller However, Blankments is thrilled to unveil a spin-off that has been well in the works since before the release of Shiverin' Gulch. George Miller, executive producer of Shiverin' Gulch, will helm the project, titled Totem of the Elders, which is said to exist around the same time and universe of Shiverin' Gulch, albeit wholly unconnected from the events of it. Madeleine Madden (Jingle Hell, upcoming Wheel of Time) and Tom Holland (The Most Wanted Man in Great Britain, Fortnight) are attached as the protagonist and antagonist of the film. The film will mix historical storytelling with adventure filmmaking, while having a few supernatural elements to it as well. star Madeleine Madden Taking place during the Frontier Wars in Australia, the film will follow a young Aboriginal woman (Madden) whose life is changed when a group of English people raids her village and she's kidnapped by an Englishman (Holland) who intends to make her his wife. Escaping in Melbourne, she begins a journey back home that will forever change her, even with her captor in pursuit. star Tom Holland The film's plot is still subject to change with more research, as Miller intends to make a period accurate adventure film that pays tribute to those frequently ignored in Australian history. The initial pitch, made by studio CEO Edward Nadny himself, is inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Moana, and Miller's own Mad Max films. Totem of the Elders is aiming for an April Y8 release, to be an exciting action-adventure film with more than a hint of fantasy.
