He will have no involvement with the film as Shining Star Animation desires to create its own unique brand of animation. cookie Posted May 16, 2019 Share Posted May 16, 2019 Cookie Pictures announces 'Project Lunar' aka a proper Scrooge McDuck 3 'Argonaut' put on hold, 'Crackle in Time' now the fourth entry in the series "We went through the plot outline we established for A Crackle in Time and its follow-up, and we realized it was going to be huge. Really huge. Not enough to set all that up within just two films unless each were much longer than they should be", Cookie Pictures President and CEO Sebastian Peters spoke during the announcement. "Plus, there's something we'd been wanting to incorporate into the series for a while, but found no avenue to do it previously - and that is to take the characters to space and beyond." The new project, bearing no finalized name besides 'Project Lunar' - which will be the third in the Scrooge McDuck series as opposed to the previously announced A Crackle in Time, which will now be fourth - will be the first in a continuous trilogy that takes Scrooge, Donald, Huey, Duey, Louie and friends across the entire universe - both through space and later time - on an epic quest that'll cap off with a fifth Scrooge McDuck film, currently bearing no set release schedule. As for the previously announced The Argonaut of White Agony Creek, a Scrooge McDuck-centered prequel, Peters said it's put on hold but not cancelled. "We're holding off for the moment. We feel it's important to keep momentum going and Argonaut may not have been the right film at the right time." This means the new Scrooge McDuck chronology is as follows: The Argonaut of White Agony Creek (TBA) -> The Adventures of Scrooge McDuck (Y1) -> The Number One Dime (Y3) -> Project Lunar (Y6) -> A Crackle in Time (Y7) -> Scrooge 5 (TBA) Project Lunar, inspired by a storyline from the 2017 DuckTales TV series, will follow the ducks as clues emerge of the possible whereabouts of Huey, Dewey and Louie's missing mother and Donald Duck's sister - Della Duck. As unbelievable as they are, the clues lead them to outer space! But their early attempts to search for her are interrupted when Scrooge's old nemesis Magica De Spell somehow discovers a way to escape her imprisonment, and has brought a dangerous new foe in the form of the all powerful Merlock (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch) with her. Crazy circumstances send Scrooge and friends warping uncontrollably across the entire universe, looking for a way to return home to Duckburg while avoiding two vengeful villains out to destroy everything Scrooge holds dear. As if that's not enough, it turns out Scrooge carries a long-held secret he'd hoped would never unearth. Dana Terrace, who was set to direct Argonaut and has direct involvement in the DuckTales series, is still on board to direct and all cast members are set to return. Peters promises Lunar will be a "big, fun odyssey with a lot of the same heart and laughs the series is renowned for, combined with high-stakes action and adventure", promising even a few surprise guest appearances audiences might not expect. Project Lunar has been scheduled for release in theaters and IMAX on December 16th. The spring corridor has always been a favorite for the studio and competition is lighter. - Ava DuVernay’s traditional animated musical The Music In Me has locates to the Thanksgiving weekend in order to benefit like past animated musicals in that corridor. - Stevie Wonder biopic My Life will release into theaters May 13th, Y6, coinciding with the legendary singer’s birthday and the untitled Lord/Miller R rated comedy subtitled Generations has moved to December 14th, Y6. Generations stars Awkwafina, Sasha Lane, Shamiek Moore, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Brie Larson and Ice Cube. Lila in the show is known to be a master manipulator even more so than Chloe who is portrayed by Dove Cameron, and has a deep hatred towards the superhero Ladybug. As well as the numerous teen girls in Paris who are romantically interested in Adrian.
